The IHG premium lifestyle brand focussed on conversions was created in 2018. As of June 2022, it comprises 40 open hotels with 9,447 guestrooms and another 34 hotels in its development pipeline.
The name voco is inspired by the Latin word for “invite”, the brand’s goal is to provide hotels that are dependable and reliable, yet also different and fun. voco Hotels seek to differentiate themselves via three steps in their guests’ journey:
- Come on in: its signature welcome experience
- Me time: encouraging guests to take a moment for themselves
- voco life: vibrant and sociable bar and lounge spaces
