somnOO is a hotel owner and operator that works across France and Germany. It was founded in 2014 by Lars Backhaus and Christian Rousseau, former executive officers at Louvre Hotels Group and Accor respectively.
Since its beginnings as a start-up, the company has grown rapidly and is now an SMB. As of 2022, somnOO operates 50 hotels in France and Germany, which translates to 3,751 keys in the 2- to 4-star segment. It also has 29 restaurants in its portfolio.
