The hotel management company was founded in 2008 by John Wagner and Eduard Elias. It opened its first hotel in 2010, the Staybridge Suites Liverpool. Since then, it has opened in locations in twelve European countries and its portfolio surpasses 6,000 keys open or in development
Cycas Hospitality works as a partner of major hotel franchise brands and international investors, such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Accor, Radisson and Hyatt. It began its journey as an operator focussed on the extended-stay hotel sector and opened the first European ‘double-decker’ hotels for IHG, Marriott and Hyatt.
Today, the company has expanded its operations and manages select-service, full-service, boutique, luxury, independent, extended stay and serviced apartments via hotel management agreements, co-investments and leases.
The company has won multiple industry awards, including The Caterer’s ‘Best Place to Work in Hospitality’ in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Its philosophy is that “our job is not over until we get a smile”.
