Marriott International and Progetto Majestic join forces to develop the W Hotels Worldwide brand.
This new brand is part of the Marriott hotel chain and has succeeded in popularizing a new lifestyle hotel concept with a focus on fashion and design. Marriott International currently operates 14 properties and residences under the W brand in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. By 2020, W Hotels Worldwide had 66 hotels in 25 countries with 16,494 rooms. In addition, it plans to expand both domestically and internationally with 34 hotels and 8,276 rooms.
Now the brand wants to conquer Florence with the help of the Marriott International hotel chain and Progetto Majestic. The new W Florence will be located in the heart of the artistic city, along the Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo, and is expected to open in 2023. The hotel will feature 120 rooms, including 20 suites, rare and highly sought-after indoor and outdoor living spaces, and a W Lounge and Living Room on the first floor that will be harmoniously articulated around a partially covered central courtyard.
