Meliá Hotels International supports Spanish culture in China through collaboration with Instituto Cervantes

Meliá Hotels International contributes to the program "Yo Hablo Español" supporting the purpose of spreading and promoting Spanish culture in China.

Meliá Hotels International has signed a collaboration agreement with the Instituto Cervantes in China in which members of the "Yo Hablo Español" club will have exclusive benefits at the group's 7 hotels in the country. Meliá Hotels International has 12 projects in total in China. Among them, 6 hotels in operation, Gran Meliá Xian, Gran Meliá Chengdu, Meliá Shanghai Hongqiao, Meliá Shanghai Parkside, Meliá Jinan and INNSiDE by Meliá Zhengzhou; 1 hotel that will open in May, Meliá Chongqing; and 5 hotels under construction in Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Inner Mongolia and Guangxi, respectively.

The "Yo Hablo Español" network was launched for the first time in 2015 and allows the thousands students of the Instituto Cervantes in China and subscribers to its libraries to receive promotions, gifts and preferential treatment at restaurants, dance academies, food and fashion outlets or cultural centers linked to Hispanic culture in Beijing and Shanghai, and also get advantages at institutions and tourist sites in mainland Spain and the Canary Islands. The Prado Museum, Thyssen Bornemisza Museum, Picasso Museum in Malaga, the museums of the Gala Salvador Dalí circuit in Girona, the Flamenco Museum in Seville, the Royal Theater or the Sanmao Route in the Canary Islands are some of the institutions that are part of the YHE network. With this collaboration, Meliá Hotels International joins the group of Spanish companies that will provide benefits to the members of "Yo Hablo Español".

It is an honor for us to cooperate with the Instituto Cervantes in China. I have always liked to say that Meliá is everyone's home, and an extension of our country in the world. Our great wish and goal is that Meliá Hotels International's presence in China and its involvement in this project will benefit Chinese friends who love Spanish culture and provide more opportunities for its members to experience the passion for excellence and care that characterizes our country. As a leading Spanish company in the industry, Meliá maintains a strong commitment to promoting Spanish culture and seeks to convey to the world the warmth of Spain's unique service and lifestyle.
