Barceló Hotel Group, launched the campaign "Traveling makes me Happy" #ViajarMeHaceFeliz, with a Spanish adaptation of the song "Felicita" performed by the duo Anglada Cerezuela.
Because although the pandemic has taken a lot of damage, it has not been able to stop the desire to travel, 'innate to human beings'. Looking back and recalling the happy moments of life almost always involves remembering a trip: We always want what we don't have, that's why now we want to travel more than ever
Raúl González, CEO for the EMEA region of Barceló Hotel Group
The group's executive is optimistic about the summer season, referring to the balance with respect to 2019, where he compared different times of the year. The year started with less than 10%, with a slight increase in March, but still less than 20%, and a closing in May of 30% of revenues.
For the summer season, significant improvements are observed, with only 50% less revenues and for August only 30% of losses in the domestic environment.
Raúl Gonzalez maintains that tourism will recover and return to pre-pandemic levels by 2024 and insists that 'vacation tourism will return before urban tourism, and domestic tourism before international tourism'.
Every trip, every experience has its soundtrack, and this time it is Happiness. In a moment of life where borders are reopened, we return to travel, to enjoy another air different from that of our city, and again, after a year of pandemic, it is allowed to dream again by the hand of Barceló. A world out there is waiting for us to be lived, and Happiness will be its soundtrack
Duo Anglada Cerezuela, interpreters of the theme song of the campaign 'Traveling makes me happy'.
People are eager to travel again, because traveling connects us, enriches us, excites us and, in short, makes us happy, and that is our reason for being, the motivation that has driven Barceló Hotel Group since it was founded 90 years ago.
