Days Inn Forbidden City, Pékin

The Wyndham Hotels & Resorts group has announced that it will reacquire its franchise rights in China for the brand The Days Inn.

There will be a new organization for Days Inn in China, which has 70 economy hotels, or more than 12,500 rooms: the licensee's rights to individual franchise agreements with owners of Days Inn hotels in China have been transferred to the Wyndham Group. The American group also indicates that all royalties from Days Inn franchisees will now be paid directly to it; Wyndham thus becoming the exclusive franchisor of the Days Inn network in China.

Geoff Ballotti, president and chief executive officer, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts said: "We look forward to serving our Days Inn-branded properties in China, adding value to their businesses and further growing the brand across the region."

According to Hospitality ON's global ranking of hotel groups, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is the 4th largest group as of January 1, 2018, including its acquisition of La Quinta with 8,962 hotels and 794,572 rooms.
