After London, Marriott International announced the expansion of its home-sharing platform to other European capitals.
The "Tribute Portfolio Homes" platform, which started this year in London, now offers its clients the possibility of booking private accommodations, which now include offers in Lisbon, Paris and Rome. Services at these properties are equivalent to those offered in rooms in upscale hotels in these cities.
Tribute Portfolio Homes was created by Marriott International, the largest hotel group in terms of supply, and thus has a large customer database. In order to attract new customers and quickly raise awareness of its new site, Marriott has affiliated its Marriott Rewards loyalty program (recently merged with Starwood Preferred Guest) with the platform's offers; the group's customers therefore earn loyalty points by booking hotel rooms and private accommodation.
Launched with Hostmaker concierge service - which is responsible for putting offers online, welcoming customers and cleaning the accommodations - Tribute Portfolio Homes sees Europe as a market with many opportunities.
