Meliá Hotels International and Falcon's Beyond, an entertainment company, are joining forces to launch a new hotel brand: Falcon's Resorts by Meliá.

The new brand will offer all-inclusive resorts in the destinations where Falcon's Beyond is located. Falcon's Resorts by Meliá will be the brand under which resorts specifically designed for leisure and entertainment will be developed. It will debut in the Dominican Republic at the end of 2022.

The hotels under this new brand will offer a more complete destination experience where guests will have direct access to restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues. Falcon's Resorts by Meliá combines the attributes of an upscale resort with leisure and entertainment experiences.

The first project under the new brand will be Falcon's Resort by Meliá - All Suites Punta Cana, which will be built from the transformation of two of Meliá's hotels. These are the Paradisus Gran Cana and The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real, which together have 622 rooms. This first resort will require an investment of €345 million. 

The first phase will transform Paradisus Gran Cana into an all-inclusive resort offering new experiences and facilities, with a unique interactive platform to be announced shortly. This work is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The second phase of the project, which will transform The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real, is expected to be completed by 2023. 

The destination will also include Katmandu Park - Punta Cana, a new theme park scheduled to open in December 2022, and Falcon's Central - Punta Cana, an exclusive shopping, dining and entertainment centre currently under development.

Meliá and Falcon's Beyond have already announced the locations of future sites that will be developed in the coming years. These are Tenerife, scheduled to open in 2024, and Playa del Carmen (Mexico), scheduled to open in 2025.
