The B&B Hotels chain has launched the Inspired by B&B Hotels brand for the Spanish and Portuguese markets, inviting independent hotel operators who share the chain's values to become part of its network of properties.
Hotels joining the new brand will retain their own identity and operational independence, but will have access to B&B Hotels' digital platform, revenue management services, loyal customers and digital positioning.
According to the chain, this affiliation model will enable independent hotels to improve their revenues by 25% and the remuneration model will be aligned with the increase in revenues and profitability generated. It will also reduce operating costs while improving productivity and online reputation.
The pilot in Spain will last a few months while the model is refined, and then this line of business will be available in Portugal.
This new business area will build on and strengthen network effects, assisting independent hotels that are looking for a boost to their business, while retaining their own identity, operational freedom and independence. Many independent properties are struggling to access the resources and skills needed to compete in an increasingly competitive hotel operator market. [...] We are convinced that opening up our network to third parties will create value in the short, medium and long term for everyone.
