
Marriott International's brand pursues its rapid growth rate with two properties added to its portfolio in the dynamic capital of Azerbaijan.
The international group's acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts was certainly the most important operation of the year in the hotel industry. Respectively 3rd and 7th in the global ranking of hotel groups in terms of number of rooms (realized by MKG Hospitality) prior to the merger, the new group will be the biggest worldwide with more than a million rooms - 800,000 of which are on the upscale segment alone.
