SH Hotels & Resorts has appointed Robert Koren as Senior Vice President & Area Managing Director of Europe, the Middle East & Africa as the company accelerates growth across the region.
In this role, Robert Koren will oversee all aspects of SH Hotels & Resorts operations, development, and owner relationships in the region, ensuring the best guest experience and results for partners and owners.
He will oversee operations for Treehouse Hotel London and Skt Petri Copenhagen, converting to 1 Hotel Copenhagen in 2025; the soon-to-open 1 Hotel Mayfair and Treehouse Manchester.
He will also oversee spearhead openings for the company’s pipeline of new properties including Baccarat Rome, Baccarat Florence, 1 Hotel Elounda Hills, 1 Hotel Paris and all 3 brands’ new builds in Riyadh. The company will be doubling its portfolio over the next 3-5 years with several new projects to be announced shortly.
Graduated with a Major in Accounting, Finances and System, Robert Koren behan his career at ITT Sheraton where he worked for more 13 years. Within the company, he held several positions, such as Director of Finance and Director of Financial Analysis Europe Division.
After that, he joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide for more than 20 years. First he was an Hotel Manager, then became Vice President Collection Operations Worldwide and lately was appointed Vice President Director – Southern Europe Region.
In 2017, he was nominated Vice President Southern Europe at Belmond before becoming Senior Vice President – EMEA.
