The hotel operating company Primestar Group pursues its growth path with the onboarding of two new executives and some changes among its management team.

Over the last months, Hendrik Engel takes over the position as Director of Operations of Primestar Operator GmbH for the new brand June SiX Hotels and Khrisna Canares is responsible for the Sales and Marketing department of Primestar Group with a focus on digitalization.

Furthermore, Oliver Kupka will be acting as sole Managing Director of the holding company, while Dieter Esslinger was newly appointed Managing Director of Primestar Hospitality GmbH, and will be responsible for the entire franchise division. At the same time, Andreas Erben will retire from all operational functions and will remain as shareholder.

Hendrik Engel held various positions in the national and international private and chain hotel industry. Amongst other achievements, he opened Europe's largest Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Düsseldorf as General Manager in 2021. He will now be responsible for the roll-out of the new own brands June Six in the boutique hotel segment and June Stay in the long-stay segment.

Khrisna Canares has several years of experience in multi-property sales. After spending time in Dubai and Switzerland, she has most recently held the role of CSO at the Austrian hotel group Alpin Family. She will be now responsible for the marketing and positioning of the franchise hotels and the new own brands June Six, June Stay, and WorX. Additionally, she is also responsible for the development of WorX.

Oliver Kupka has a very eclectic professional career with various executive positions among pharmaceutical and bank companies. He will be now responsabile for further expand the strategy along the pillars digitalisation and travel.work.live.

Dieter Esslinger has more than 15 years of experience in the branded hotel industry in Germany and Austria. He has been working for Primestar Group since 2017 and successfully supported the expansion of the franchise segment over the last years, lastly as authorised signatory. He will be now responsible lead the operations and strategic growth for both franchise subsidiaries of the company.

The appointment of Hendrik Engel as Director of Operations of Primestar Operator GmbH sustainably strengthens the expansion of our own brands June Six and June Stay. It makes me proud that Ms Canares has chosen to work for Primestar Group as a new outside hire. With her proven industry and leadership experience, she will take over all issues in the commercial area of the group and thus create the conditions for further sales success. With the three new executives, we have expanded our management team with many years of experience in the hotel industry and strategy expertise. We will consistently pursue the Primestar Group's chosen path with a stronger focus on digitalisation and technology as well as on new target groups.
