MEININGER Hotels appoints Juliane Wagner as General Counsel

MEININGER Hotels is undergoing rapid growth and, as such, is boosting its teams. The German group recently announced that Juliane Wagner took over as the new head of its legal team in August 2022.

Juliane Wagner passed the bar in Munich in 1994, since then she has accumulated more than 27 years’ professional experience in the field of law. She was first an Attorney at Wieland & Wieland for a year before joining Chubb as an Underwriter in 1996.

She progressed to the position of Senior Underwriter at AIG and then made her first foray into the hospitality industry in 2001 as Corporate Counsel for The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. Wagner stayed with the group for 15 years. In 2017, she became Head Counsel for AP Legal & Business Affairs Consultancy, her most recent role prior to joining MEININGER Hotels.

Juliane Wagner’s expertise includes commercial real estate, corporate law, intellectual property, trademark and licensing, compliance, dispute resolution, data protection and insurance.

We deeply value Juliane Wagner's substantial experience in hospitality and related industries and look forward to working with her in the pursuit of MEININGER's strategic goals. I wish Juliane and her team tremendous success.

Ajit Menon, CEO of MEININGER Hotels

The opportunity to join MEININGER Hotels, right now, as General Counsel is extremely exciting. MEININGER's vision, the brand's potential and the extremely strong team, professionally speaking, have persuaded me to take this step. I am very much looking forward to working together.
