
Accor has announced the appointment of Martine Gerow as Group Chief Financial Officer. She will take up her position on 1 July and will join the Management Board.
A graduate of HEC and holder of an MBA from Columbia Business School, Martine Gerow began her career in the United States, first as an internal auditor at PPG Industries before becoming a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group.
In 1989, she joined PepsciCo where she held 5 different positions including Manager Corporate Business Planning and Financial Director France before being appointed Director, Corporate, Strategy and Development.
She then returned to France and joined Danone as Finance Director, Global Beverages Division before being promoted to Group Financial Control Director. In 2007, she moved to Barcelona where she took the lead in finance at Campofrio Food Group.
Her career continued at Solocal Group and Carlson Wagonlit Travel before Martine Gerow was poached by American Express Global Business Travel in 2017 to become their new CFO.
In her new role, she will be responsible for leading the finance function for the entire Group and for relations with market regulators and the financial community. She will replace Jean-Jacques Morin, Group Executive Vice President and now Managing Director of the Premium, Midscale & Economy division.
