Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group announces the appointment of Luca Finardi as Regional Vice President for France, Italy and the Czech Republic, as well as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Paris. Luca Finardi continues his career with the group after leading Mandarin Oriental, Milan since 2014, where he oversaw the opening of the brand's first Italian address.
Luca Finardi succeeds Géraldine Dobey, who has held the position of General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Paris since July 2021. Géraldine Dobey will now devote herself fully to her role as Quality Director of the Mandarin Oriental Group, having managed this function alongside her responsibilities in Paris as well as those of Regional Vice-President for France, Switzerland and Morocco.
With almost 30 years' experience in the hotel industry and a solid academic background in tourism, Luca Finardi has accumulated a wealth of experience at the helm of prestigious Italian establishments such as the Rocco Forte Hotel Savoy, the Belmond Villa San Michele and the Grand Hotel Timeo. In 2014, he joined Mandarin Oriental to open and position Mandarin Oriental, Milan, which quickly became a benchmark for Italian hospitality, attracting both local and international clientele. He also played a key role in the opening of Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como.
Originally from the Veneto region and raised in Tuscany and on the Italian Riviera, Luca Finardi comes from a family of hoteliers, with an innate passion for the hotel business. Fluent in English and French, he is also a great lover of gastronomy, wine, golf, swimming and world travel.
This appointment marks a new stage in Luca Finardi's career, as he brings his expertise and strategic vision to one of the Mandarin Oriental group's most emblematic addresses.
