Following the departure of Brett Butcher, Bob van den Oord has been appointed CEO of the group.
Brett Butcher, an Australian national, served as CEO of Langham Hospitality Group from 2009 to 2014 and returned to the same role in 2021, seven years after leaving the organization in the same position. He will retain responsibilities at Great Eagle, the group's parent company, as well as CEO of Langham Hospitality Investment Ltd.
Bob van den Oord has been a senior executive with the Langham Group for 20 years and is currently Regional Vice President for Europe, Middle East and North America. During this time he has led various business units regionally and globally.
He previously served as COO and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In these roles, he successfully led the transformation of the organization and was instrumental in setting the direction of the brands and strengthening operational excellence.
He will officially assume the role of CEO on September 1, 2023, and will bring his experience and strategic direction to the group to continue to elevate the company's various brands, including The Langham Hotels & Resorts, Cordis, Eaton and Ying'nFlo. He will be responsible for growing the business, increasing the group's global footprint, improving operational efficiencies and expanding the guest experience through new partnerships and digital innovations.
