
From June 1, the Smyhotels group will have Jesús Pons as its new CEO, who will also be director of the Viajes El Corte Inglés group.
The Smyhotels group currently has 13 hotels: five in Greece, four in Italy, two in Spain and Portugal and one in Belgium. Its headquarters are in Palma de Mallorca.
Jesús Pons has spent the last 12 years with Logitravel Group as the group's financial director for 10 years and then as the group's administrative director for more than two years. Logitravel Group is an online travel agency owned by the Andrés-Sánchez family. It has B2B and B2C solutions and works directly with consumers but also as a bed bank.
Since March 2022, he has held the position of Deputy CFO and Delivery Director of the Viajes El Corte Inglés Group. The group is present in more than 20 countries with a strong presence in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and America and focuses its activity on vacation and business travel as well as the organization of events, incentives and conventions.
Prior to that, he worked at the University of the Balearic Islands and at Ernst&Young in the areas of auditing, consulting, tax and legal, transactions.
Graduated in Economics from the University of the Balearic Islands, Jesús Pons obtained the third level in International Business Management from the University of Berkeley (California) and studied the Management Development Program at the IESE (Barcelona).
