Dan Ruff promoted to CEO of Belmond

Currently Director of Operations at Belmond since 2018, he will take up his new position on July 1, 2023.

Luxury hotel company Belmond was acquired by LVMH in 2019, and Dan Ruff will report directly to Stéphane Rinderknech, President and CEO of LVMH Hospitality Excellence. He will succeed Roeland Vos, who has led Belmond for the past eight years and who will retain his status as Chairman of Belmond Ltd and support the company on specific projects.

Prior to his role as COO at Belmond, Dan Ruff worked at Wyndham Hotel Group as President and General Manager - EMEA and at Starwood Hotels & Resorts where he held several positions including Vice President and Director.  With these two experiences, he evolved in the fields of operations, asset management and mergers & acquisitions.

A graduate of Cornell University, he began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston.
