The firstborn of Hyatt’s brand Andaz is making a sensation on London’s market, which is nonetheless quite accustomed to innovation. It is located in London’s East End, the arty and trendy neighborhood that’s still close to the City, one of the city’s musts for business and leisure travel. Adjacent to the Liverpool Street Station, this historic hotel dating from the late 19th century opened last November and the articles singing its praises are many. Hyatt pursued the work of Terence Conran, who had transformed the ex-Great Eastern Hotel into a temple of contemporary design. Taken over by Hyatt, this group expressed itself by upsetting the codes of the luxury hotel industry. Andaz, a chic and relaxed brand, addresses a young urban clientele. Gone are reception and the concierge: reception is handled by a personal assistant who takes care of check-in using his PC Tablet. This “Andaz Team Member” is also in charge of the guest’s every need. Gone are reception desks, the lobby opens up and becomes a Living Room, a vast living space where contemporary art exhibitions are held on a regular basis. The rooms emphasize design. And there is a big advantage for the guest: breakfast, Wi-Fi, local calls, mini bar, the multimedia offer and laundry are included in the price. With its 4 restaurants, 3 bars and 14 reception halls, the Andaz London is preparing to become one of THE great meeting places in London. In addition to Austin, the Andaz concept will be developed in New York near Fifth Avenue and Wall Street.
