Starwood’s new concept of limited service hotels, Aloft, is making its appearance in Europe at the center of Brussels’ European neighborhood. Property of the Thornsett Group, the hotel has 147 rooms loft style, including 3 «Breezy Lofts» (an Alo-style suite), a trendy bar, a “take away” corner. Aloft’s unique urban look is a descendent of W hotel, and was also conceived to upset the European hotel scene. Spacious (minimum 28 sq.m) and bright, the rooms bear the brand’s signature, with their nearly 3m high ceilings, immense windows and ultra-comfortable beds, but also large walk-in showers and bath products by Bliss Spa. Each room is also equipped with free wireless Internet access and a single solution for «plug-and-play» connectivity, compatible with most electronic accessories, that facilitates connection to the 42" flat screen. In this way the room becomes a veritable high-tech office paired with an entertainment center. The common areas created by Aloft Brussels Schuman encourage guests to mingle and meet, read the paper, work on their laptop, relax over a game of billiards or enjoy a glass with their friends in the re:mixSM salon and at the bar w xyzSM. The w xyz bar should rapidly become “the place to be” in the European quarter. Able to accommodate hotel guests and neighborhood regulars alike, the w xyz bar is the ideal to enjoy a cocktail with friends or dance the night away to the beat of guest DJs.
