September 2014: the sun extends the season for French hotels

After renewed activity in France's hotels in August, Indian summer ran through to the end of September. The sector benefited from new improvement in its performances on the period.

With an occupancy rate close to 75%, hotels showed 1.4 points improvement over September 2013. Average daily rates also improved, increasing 1.2% to 91.6 euros VAT excl. Growth in the two indicators thus enabled a 3.1% increase in Revenue per available room (RevPAR) for hoteliers, which reached 68.6...
