AccorHotels: ibis Styles discovers Bucharest

Orbis Hotel Group, the developer of ibis Styles chain's in Eastern Europe, has just signed a property in Bucharest with the Romanian company Constructii Erbasu.

The ibis Styles chain from the French group AccorHotels marks a new step in its "conquest of the East": a new property has been signed in the Romanian capital, in partnership with Orbis Hotel Group. The agreement was concluded with the local company Constructii Erbasu. 

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and is expected to open in 2018. It will have 96 rooms, as well as a restaurant, a bar and a conference room. “We are delighted to establish together with Orbis/AccorHotels the first ibis Styles project in Bucharest and we hope it will be a great success,” said Cristian Romeo Erbasu, general manager of Constructii Erbasu general manager.

AccorHotels' economic brands, gathered under the "ibis megabrand" (ibis, ibis Budget, ibis Styles) represent 2,025 hotels worldwide on January 1, 2017, totaling more than 230,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
