
Accor on Wednesday announced three new developments in Vietnam and now plans to see 16 new hotels and another 4,047 guestrooms opened there by 2015. The announcement comes as Accor opened its first economy hotel in Vietnam, the Ibis Saigon South.
Accor has operated in Vietnam for 21 years,” said Gaurav Bhushan, chief development and investment officer. “With healthy growth prospects, we will see the network expand to just short of 30 hotels by 2015.”The first Ibis hotel in Vietnam, the Ibis Saigon South, has 160 guestrooms, 24-hour services, the OOPEN Restaurant and a funky bar on the ground floor.Accor has signed three additional hotels in Danang to further expand its network in Vietnam:
- Ba Na Hills, a member of the MGallery Collection, will be a newly built 90-room upscale hotel located in a French-inspired village atop and amongst the scenic Truong Son Mountains.
- Located in the same proximity will be Mercure Danang French Village Ba Na Hills, a 372-room hotel also with old-world, French touches in its décor and architecture.
