ME by Meliá's first American address will open its doors March 3 in downtown Miami. It is a symbolic opening for the Spanish group, which plans to expand its portfolio further in major cities across the United States.
Ideally located by Biscayne Bay, ME Miami will enable its guests to enjoy the city's rich cultural scene. The property is close to the Pérez Art Museum, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, or the MDC Museum of Art + Design. The 129-room hotel will offer two bars, a restaurant, a spa, and two swimming pools. It also caters to the needs of business clientele, providing meeting rooms with views of the bay.
ME by Meliá's portfolio pursues its international growth and now encompasses seven other adresses worldwide in Cancún, London, Los Cabos, Ibiza, Madrid, Majorca and Milan. On January 1, 2015, Meliá Hotels International was the 21st hotel group worldwide in terms of number of rooms with 68 374 units in 220 hotels, according to data published by MKG Consulting.
