Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts settles in the Maldives
The Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Group has announced the signing of a first resort in the Maldives, located on the island of Kuredhivaru. It is expected to open in 2018.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resort has just announced the signing of a first resort in the Maldives, located on the island of Kuredhivaru in the heart of Noonu Atoll, near the first National Marine Park in the region. This new resort will offer 105 villas, 72 of which are located on the water, and will feature three restaurants, a bar and grill and a private dining room for special occasions. The resort will also offer several sports centers including a diving center, a super yacht for guests, a marine research center, a spa, a business center, a library and shops. The opening is scheduled for the second quarter of 2018.
As of January 1, 2016, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts ranked 55th largest hotel operator worldwide, with 77 properties and 19,350 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
